In March 1998, a training camp was established at NHMP Lines HQs Islamabad to cater the needs of new officers. Later on, the said camp was shifted to Chakri in 1999 as a separate entity. The training wing not only conducted Basic Motorway Police Orientation Courses there but also carried out refresher courses.
The growing needs of the training procedure necessitated the shifting of training camp from Chakri to Sheikhupura in May 2002. On 10-08-2004, it was notified as NHMP Training Center.
The shifting of the training camp marked a new epoch in the history of NHMP. The commencement of Promotional, Drill, Commando and Capacity Building courses accelerated the development of this institute. On 08-09-2011, the NHMP Training Center was upgraded to the status of Training College.

Objectives

The Training College’s primary goal is to professionally train National Highways & Motorway Police officers, enhancing their performance for potential promotions. Emphasizing virtues like discipline, integrity, and commitment, the institution strives to instill the highest standards of conduct and morality, ensuring suitability for departmental service.
