Established on international standards, the NHMP Training College has grown remarkably since its inception in 1997. What began at the Police Training College, Sihala with the support of British trainers soon transformed into a self-reliant institution, producing its own cadre of master trainers. These trainers introduced modern practices in traffic management, accident response, and road safety enforcement, setting new benchmarks in professional excellence. In the second phase, the department is expected to send its human resources to developed countries such as France, Germany, and the United States to gain exposure to international best practices in traffic management, road safety, and first responder responsibilities, as well as to acquire advanced life-saving skills and expertise in the effective use of technology
From makeshift training camps in Islamabad and Chakri, the college found its permanent home in Sheikhupura in 2002, marking the beginning of a new era. With continuous expansion and innovation, it was officially upgraded to the status of Training College in 2011.
