The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) Training College, Sheikhupura, has taken a progressive step toward digital transformation and institutional modernization through the introduction of the Trainee Biometric Attendance System. This initiative aims to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in managing trainee attendance across the college, which spans over twenty-five acres and accommodates over one thousand trainees enrolled in various professional courses. To address the challenges of maintaining attendance across such a vast and dynamic campus, the college has planned the installation of five biometric machines at strategic locations.
These devices will digitally record trainee attendance twice daily, ensuring discipline, punctuality, and real-time tracking of trainee presence a reflection of NHMP’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence. The system utilizes fingerprint and facial recognition technology to verify each trainee’s identity and record both entry and exit times with precision. All data is automatically stored in a centralized database, which generates daily, weekly, and monthly attendance reports for administrative and academic purposes. The system also integrates seamlessly with the Human Resource and Academic Management Systems, ensuring smooth data synchronization and compatibility with future digital initiatives.
By replacing traditional manual methods, this automated attendance solution eliminates proxy attendance, minimizes human error, and provides instant reporting and analytics. Beyond improving administrative efficiency, it strengthens accountability, promotes transparency, and enhances campus security by accurately tracking trainee movement.
This initiative marks a major milestone in NHMP’s ongoing journey toward a disciplined, transparent, and technology-driven training ecosystem, fully aligned with global policing and training standards.
