Licensing Process

The driving licence process begins at the reception, where applicants receive guidance about the required documents and procedure. After submitting the fee, they undergo a basic medical checkup and then proceed to the data entry section, where their personal information is recorded. Biometrics are captured afterward, including fingerprints, photographs, and signatures. Applicants then take the theoretical test, and upon passing, they are issued a learner permit. Next, they appear for Practical Test Part-I (Shapes Test) and then Practical Test Part-II (Road Test) to demonstrate their driving skills. Once both tests are successfully completed, the licensing officer grants approval. The licence is then printed at DLA Islamabad and finally delivered to the local office in SKP for distribution to the applicant.
